Best Book for kids having issues controlling themselves...

My mom found this book when researching books for her new kids book blog. The entire time she was reading the book she couldn't believe how much Alissa would relate to and benefit from this book. The book is, "Mouse Was Mad" by Linda Urban. The little mouse gets really mad for some reason and is throwing some sort of fit. An animal comes over and says something about the mouse not stomping their foot correctly and showing the mouse how to do it better, which of course makes the mouse madder. So the mouse screams, and another animals says that isn't how you scream you scream this way.... So the mouse rolls around on the ground. A hedgehog tells the mouse that in order to roll around really well you have to tuck in your feet. Well the mouse gets so mad that he is just standing quite still and all of the animals are very impressed with how still the mouse is standing and they can't quite do it that well but they all try to copy it. Then they notice that the breathing helps them stay still even longer. Finally, the mouse realizes that after trying to stand still and BREATHE he isn't mad anymore.

She sent it to us and both my husband and I were floored with how closely this fits our approach to handling her "fits" and how neat it will be to read to her.
