Second Trip-----Wish us luck
We took our first trip a few weeks upon coming back from Poland to visit grandparents and give our son a chance to have his Maine vacation. We have a few good pictures from the trip, but it felt like a disasterous trip since Alissa was so insecure in what was happening and how she fit. We haven't traveled since that August trip. Finally, 7 months later we are going to try a weekend car trip to visit friends, come home, and then a flight to TX to spend Easter with the other grandparents. We think she is ready to attempt this. We think we aren't as naive as to her needs for security during the trip. She seems excited and is helping to pack and get everything ready to go. Wish us luck!

It seems like a delicate balance, to have people meet your child, and to have your child meet the important people in your family's lives, but keep your child's needs in check too.. and for you, to keep a sense of normalcy for your son. Enjoy your first Easter as a family of four- I am sure the new experiences seem never ending! Best wishes!!
